3: The Breakfast Club (1985)
Assalamualaikum and hi.Banyaknya posts aku dah buat kan for a new blog. Hahaha biasa la tu, acah je. Baru buat blog, sebab tu semangat je nak menaip. Tunggu le lagi beberapa minggu nanti, mesti mengurang nanti ehe. But anyway, today, aku nak cakap pasal a 1985 movie by John Hughes, which is The Breakfast Club.
Yes, lagu Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds yang dipopularkan oleh movie Pitch Perfect tu datang daripada movie ni.
Ada dua faktor kenapa aku pilih nak tengok cerita ni:

1- My passion for old stuff (movies and songs)(Back to the Future is bae)
2- Sebab ternampak movie ni dekat Pitch Perfect. Sebelum ni taktahu pun.
So, aku dah tengok movie ni dua kali dah sebenarnya. And honestly, if someone ever asks, "What's your comment about this movie?" to me, I would totally say, "It's a freaking roller coaster."
Sebab pada aku, movie ni memang roller coaster pun. But before aku terangkan kenapa dia roller coaster and membebel pasal movie ni dengan lebih lanjut, kena terangkan la dulu kan movie ni pasal apa. Essentially, movie ni pasal lima orang remaja yang terpaksa pergi detention pada hari Sabtu, disebabkan kesalahan masing-masing. (Spoiler Alert: kecuali Allison, I guess? Haha). Kelima-lima orang budak ni sebenarnya mewakili typical groups of kids kat high school; the jocks, the popular, the nerds, the weirdos, and the troublemakers.

JOHN BENDER (Judd Nelson)
He is the criminal or troublemaker.
He breaks the silences and has marijuana in his locker.
Backstory: Wrecked family, abused by his father
CLAIRE STANDISH (Molly Ringwald)
She is the princess and rich kid. Prom queen.
Pretty humble, that picture is when she's high on weed.
Backstory: Her parents are on the verge of divorce, they're always fighting.
ANDREW CLARK (Emilio Estevez)
He is the jock, athletic wrestler.
Like any other typical guy. He's pretty righteous, but does things wrongly.
Backstory: Jackass father that wants him to be perfect all the time.
BRIAN JOHNSON (Anthony Michael Hall)
He is the brain and the nerd. A+ student.
Brian can't handle a "F" on his report card. At all. Anxious.
Backstory: Pressured by his parents to always get an A that he wants to kill himself. He owns a flare gun.
ALLISON REYNOLDS (Ally Sheedy)
She is the basket case. Do google "basket case definition".
She's silent, a bit weird and a compulsive liar.
Backstory: HONESTLY, does anyone really know bout her? I mean, she's a liar. I'm not sure whether the part she wants to run away from home is true or not.
So, itulah watak-watak utama cerita ni hahaha. Aku malas nak masukkan cikgu dia, Mr Vernon, sebab sakit hati dengan dia. Dia fikir dia bagus sangat agaknya, mengugut anak murid macam John Bender just sebab budak tu suka buat masalah. OKKKK back to our original topic. Kenapa aku rasa movie ni macam roller coaster?
Sebab movie ni mula-mula dia akan bagi situasi yang senyap. Then tiba-tiba, situasi gembira. Then, tiba-tiba, diorang bergaduh and keadaan jadi senyap balik. And thennnn diorang berbual dan bercerita pasal diri masing-masing, things get emotional. Then, tiba-tiba? Yes, diorang gelak-gelak balik. It's a total roller coaster, sebab aura dia boleh berubah dengan sangat tiba-tiba.
Tapi, walaupun dia macam tu, aku still rasa movie ni okay kot. Dia menghiburkan and watak-watak dia semua sangat emotionally unstable sebab diorang teenagers and keadaan kat rumah diorang pun tak berapa nak menggembirakan sangat. Aku tak boleh nak komen apa-apa sangat sebab memang perasaan aku kat most of the movies sama je; okay je. Sorry, it's sad, but it's true.
