Be careful of what you wish for
Sometimes when the storm hits
Or when the thunder strikes
Your fragile heart desires
For the pain to stop
Wishing you don't feel anything at all

But darling
Don't you know that
Pain is alright
As it is a proof that
You are alive, breathing
Numbness and emptiness are the most dangerous poison
They take away the things you love, too

Ah
